As the self-proclaimed Opportunity Junkie, I should have experience in many of the opportunities out there for individuals to become involved with. True, I have participated in many but made money in none so far. Bear with me on this site…I promise that it will become a treasure trove of information as to what not to do, which is just as important as what to do.
I devote this category to exploration and examination of opportunities that you (my MVR…most valuable reader) can and maybe should be involved with. I know I can add my two cents worth (unfortunately, that may be all that a particular article will be worth). Take it from me, if I save you anguish and hundreds of dollars by getting involved with the WRONG opportunity, then I will have done what I set out to do for you, my MVR.
Having said that let me establish my main point for this article…(drum roll please!!!). I BELIEVE THAT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A SIDE INCOME SOURCE!. OK, maybe not for the executive making 7 figures currently or the athlete who just signed an 8-figure contract.
By the way, if that is you in that last sentence, I separately run a tax advisory and wealth management firm who is looking for new clients (insert smiley face). You can find me doing my day job over at either www.louisville-tax.com or www.lifetimewealthdesign.com.
See, I practice what I write. I have a day job and operate this blog as a side income (hobby?).
Snapping back to the actual point of this article…I truly believe that the mortals of us should have that side income source. Why…you ask?
- Because you can. The world is full of opportunities and you should reach for the American dream and go for it. You have skills that no one else on the planet have (I know…hard to believe?)
- Because you need to do something productive. Ouch! Hey you, who just finished binge watching Netflix’s The Blacklist, get off the couch and do something. Wait…that’s me…sorry. At least, I turned off The Blacklist to write this article to help you. In case you wondered, I am only on season 4 so don’t tell me what happens.
- Because the economy is not what it used to be. No…I am not going down the black hole of commenting on political party’s economic policies. And yes, we are going to get a little serious here. Too many people are losing jobs to not notice that people need an additional source of income.
There you have my 3 favorite reasons for cultivating your ideal additional income source. Stay tuned for further exploration of how to choose the best side income for you.
Leave a comment below with other reasons to have that side income source and if you are nice to me, I may include them in a future post.
